Important Notice
AutoShopCalls may process call recordings, transcripts, summaries, caller details, vehicle and issue details, contact information, appointment request details, SMS follow-up data, and related workflow data to provide AI call answering Services for auto repair shops.
When AutoShopCalls operates on behalf of a shop customer, that customer usually remains primarily responsible for privacy notices, consent, call recording disclosures, SMS compliance, AI disclosure, and lawful use of the Services.
This policy supports AutoShopCalls’ current Auto Repair AI Call Answering offer: $399/month for one independent auto repair shop location with a 14-day free trial.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how AutoShopCalls, which is owned by BizAssistant.ai LLC, collects, uses, discloses, stores, and otherwise processes information when you visit our website, call our demo line, submit a form, book a demo, use a private setup link, activate a plan, communicate with us, or interact with a workflow powered by our Services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or integrations that we do not control.
2. Our Roles
Depending on the context, AutoShopCalls may act as a business/controller for our own website visitors, prospects, demo contacts, customers, vendors, and account users.
When we operate workflows on behalf of an auto repair shop customer, that customer usually decides what information is collected and how it is used. In that context, AutoShopCalls generally acts as a service provider, processor, vendor, or similar role under applicable privacy law.
3. Information We May Collect
We may collect contact information such as name, business name, email, phone number, website, shop location, role, and communication preferences.
We may collect business and onboarding information such as services offered, hours, locations, escalation contacts, scheduling rules, deposit and cancellation policy, call scripts, intake questions, approved disclosures, phone-system setup, calendar preferences, and workflow instructions.
We may collect caller and workflow data such as call recordings, transcripts, summaries, phone numbers, SMS messages, vehicle year/make/model, issue descriptions, appointment request details, routing outcomes, timestamps, tags, and staff handoff notes.
We may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, referring URLs, cookies, analytics events, form submissions, and system logs.
4. Auto Repair Caller and Vehicle Data
Shop customers may use the Services to capture caller inquiries, new customer details, vehicle details, repair concerns, diagnostic requests, callback requests, and scheduling information. The shop customer is responsible for providing required notices, obtaining required consents, and deciding what information should be collected.
The Services are not designed to make repair decisions, diagnose vehicles, provide binding estimates, or determine vehicle safety. Shop customers should provide clear escalation language and instructions for urgent, uncertain, disputed, or sensitive customer situations.
5. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, configure, operate, secure, support, improve, and document the Services; create private setup links; process forms; send confirmations; route inquiries; generate summaries; support SMS follow-up; manage billing; troubleshoot issues; prevent abuse; comply with law; and communicate with prospects and customers.
We may use de-identified, aggregated, or operational data to improve reliability, security, analytics, workflow design, and service quality.
6. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers and vendors that support hosting, telephony, SMS, email, CRM, calendar, payments, analytics, AI model operations, security, customer support, and business administration.
We may disclose information to the shop customer on whose behalf a workflow operates, including call summaries, transcripts, routing details, and caller-provided information.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to enforce agreements, during business transfers, or with consent or direction from the relevant customer or user.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies, pixels, analytics tags, advertising tags, and similar technologies to operate the website, measure performance, support conversion tracking, improve marketing, and understand site usage. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete some cookies, but certain features may not work properly.
8. SMS, Calls, and Recording Consent
Calls and SMS messages may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, routed, or logged to provide the Services. Shop customers are responsible for determining and providing legally required notices and consents for call recording, transcription, AI disclosure, SMS, and related communications.
SMS opt-out requests and communication preferences should be honored according to applicable law and the shop customer’s approved workflow.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disruption will never occur.
10. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, contractual, and operational obligations, resolve disputes, maintain backups, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on data type, customer instructions, legal requirements, and system constraints.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and relationship with us, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or opt-out of certain processing. Requests relating to data processed on behalf of a shop customer may need to be directed to that customer.
You may contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before responding.
12. California Privacy Notice
